Consulting and Advisory

Clear, grounded strategic input for companies, founders, investors, boards, and institutions.

I work with companies, founders, investors, boards, and institutions that need grounded strategic input where growth, tourism, hospitality, technology, and African market realities come together.

My perspective comes from years of building businesses, negotiating deals, expanding into markets, raising capital, forging partnerships, and solving problems first-hand. Much of my career has been spent working across borders, cultures, and sectors where execution matters most.

Advisory rooted in real operating experience

I come from years of building businesses, partnerships, and growth across markets.

My work has spanned entrepreneurship, traveltech, hospitality, digital growth, partnerships, and business development, much of it in African markets. It has included growth strategy, market entry, commercial positioning, investor dialogue, product direction, regional expansion, public-private engagement, and the operational detail that turns strategy into results.

As co-founder of HotelOnline, I have helped build a company that expanded across multiple African markets while helping hotels increase revenue through stronger digital distribution, better technology, and sharper commercial strategy. Alongside that, I have worked across ventures, business development, and cross-border initiatives that strengthened my belief in judgment, clarity, timing, and execution.

That is the perspective I bring to advisory work: clear thinking, honest input, and practical recommendations.

Growth strategy

I advise on how businesses can sharpen their positioning, focus on the right opportunities, and grow with clarity. That may mean commercial strategy, expansion choices, partnerships, product-market fit, or helping leadership teams cut through noise and focus on what matters.

Market entry and expansion

New markets are about far more than demand. They are about timing, structure, partnerships, local realities, and execution. I advise businesses looking at African markets, regional growth, and cross-border expansion with a practical view of what works and what tends to unravel.

Tourism, hospitality, and traveltech

This is one of the areas where I bring the deepest operating experience. I advise hospitality businesses, travel companies, tourism stakeholders, and technology players on strategy, partnerships, revenue growth, distribution, and digital transformation.

Partnerships and ecosystem building

Growth often depends on building the right relationships. I work on partnership strategy across private sector, public sector, investors, institutions, and ecosystem actors, with a focus on alignment, structure, and collaborations that create real momentum.

Founder and leadership advisory

Some of the most valuable advisory work is helping founders, executives, and boards think through difficult choices with clarity, honesty, and commercial realism. I work well in situations that need judgment, perspective, and a direct view of what is worth doing.

Narrative and positioning

Strong businesses are often explained badly. I help sharpen how ventures, leaders, and initiatives present themselves to investors, partners, institutions, customers, and the wider market through clearer narrative, stronger positioning, and a sharper value proposition.

Who I tend to work best with

I am usually most useful to people who want substance, speed, and candor.

That includes:

  • Founders and leadership teams navigating growth, change, or difficult strategic choices
  • Travel, tourism, hospitality, and technology businesses looking for sharper commercial direction
  • Investors or boards that want operator-level perspective on a business, sector, or market
  • Public-sector and institutional actors working on tourism, innovation, entrepreneurship, or partnerships
  • Organizations that need someone who understands both strategic language and operational reality

Practical, direct, and tailored

My advisory work is tailored to the context. In some cases that means a focused strategy session. In others, it means an ongoing advisory relationship, board-level input, partnership support, project sparring, or a deeper engagement around a specific opportunity.

I do my best work when the task is relevant and concrete. I cut through noise, identify the core issue, and turn it into action.

  • One-off strategic sessions
  • Ongoing advisory roles
  • Board and leadership input
  • Partnership and market-entry support
  • Tourism and traveltech strategy
  • Speaker-moderator-host crossover where relevant

What I bring to the table

My mix of experiences brings a unique perspective.

I have built businesses, markets, partnerships, and distribution networks hand-on. I understand travel and hospitality from inside the industry. I have spent years working across African markets with all the complexity that comes with that. I am comfortable in founder conversations, investor discussions, public-private settings, and rooms where strategy has to survive contact with reality.

I also know that more than anything, good advice is about being right often enough, early enough, and clearly enough to help people make better decisions.

Built on experience. Informed by travel. Focused on what works.

A large part of my professional life has unfolded through movement. Different countries, markets, industries, partnerships, and operating environments. Travel has shaped not only how I see the world, but how I think about business. It has taught me to read context, adapt quickly, question assumptions, and look beyond templates.

That perspective is part of what I bring into advisory work. Not just sector knowledge, but pattern recognition. Not just ideas, but judgment.

This could be a business, a tourism initiative, a strategic question, a partnership opportunity, an advisory role, or something still taking shape. I am always happy to hear from serious people working on interesting things.
