I was featured in Dagbladet in a deeply personal piece marking 50 years since the liberation of Auschwitz. I was 18 at the time, the same age my grandfather Erling Bauck was when he was arrested in 1942 and later sent to Auschwitz. The article followed us as he took me through the camp and shared his own memories from the place where he had been imprisoned.
This feature story was published in connection with the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz. My grandfather and I traveled to the former extermination camp with two journalists, to revisit the horrors of Adolf Hitler’s murderous regime.
